Positive Guru: The Fashion House of Positivity and Awareness

Positive Guru is an elevated fashion house and lifestyle brand where spiritual mastery meets tangible, conscious style. It is built on the pillars of peace, love, confidence, and personal alignment.

We believe being cool is the quiet power of being so grounded within yourself that peace becomes your posture. It is also the pursuit of such a way of being. Our apparel is a wearable broadcast of that mindset. Every piece we design serves as a physical reminder to the wearer and the world that strength, personal growth, and compassion can coexist, and that true confidence is always rooted in kindness.

Our Origin: Born in 1980s Detroit

Author, meditation teacher, businessman, and musician Craig Kimbrough started his journey to and the building of The Positive Guru World early in life without having any idea where it was leading him.

Craig could not help but have a love for fashion, music, and business—it was woven into his world in a fashion runway atmosphere at his high school, Cass Tech, back in the 1980s. This incredible world was connected to an underground house and techno music scene taking birth in Detroit at the time.

His first introduction to business was giving parties with friends on weekends complete with DJs, lighting, purchasing flyers, and renting halls. And the fashion was very much a big part of the whole backdrop.

"I knew right away I wanted to be a businessman, and I also knew I wanted to always be in fashion. So, I started working part time in high school so I could keep up, buy the kind of clothes I wanted, have money to contribute to buying records to DJ, give parties and be in fashion. And honestly, I had to be in fashion to attract the beautiful girls in this magical scene. Lol." — Craig Kimbrough, Founder

The Path to Alignment & The Spark

As he moved into adulthood, Craig chose not to take the traditional corporate route, focusing instead on building his own businesses. Introspection and meditation allowed him to navigate the world of enterprise and achieve real-world stability.

A central pillar of Positive Guru is OM Source Meditation, a metaphysical practice Craig has taught for over three decades after succeeding his teacher, Mr. Ambrister, at age 29. His journey included teaching classes at Wayne County Community College, authoring transformational books—including 30 Days of Enlightenment and Miracles—and operating The Philosophy Bookstore in Southfield, all while building a service business maintained for 35 years.

The complete vision for the Positive Guru ecosystem materialized during a quiet moment in traffic when Craig spotted a Volkswagen Beetle bearing a “Save the World” bumper sticker. In that moment, he saw a vision of a new world: a culture where spiritual growth was fueled by elevated fashion. He realized that a global shift could happen through a simple change in consciousness—and that clothing could be a powerful vessel for that change.
