Today’s Positive Thought (Sometimes you have to take your time and lay it on the line)

There is a time for everything. And in life I find it is a good policy to be as kind and agreeable as possible as often as I possibly can. It is good karma and good for all involved.

Having said that, we will also find that sometimes people may not appreciate what we are trying to do, or where we are coming from, and it comes out in their actions. We may have tried to get along and done all we could to make the situation work. We may have tried talking to them in subtle ways or even more direct. Sometimes we can even tell that they know how hard we are trying, but they still want to make things unnecessarily difficult.

If this is the case, it is no time to be upset. This is a time to be true, and get our lesson. And just what may be our spiritual lesson at hand? We may find that it is time to take our time and lay it on the line. In other words, we have to let the other party know just how we feel, and what we are prepared to do.

First we must let go of all fear and worry of possible outcomes, and let them know in no uncertain terms, “if you continue to go in this direction, this is what I am prepared to do. If you choose to go in the other direction, then this is what I will do.” We must lay it all out clearly, and be ready to act, no matter how uncomfortable we previously thought it would make us. We must treat this like it is our mission from God. As a matter of fact, when such a time arises, that is exactly what it is. It is a matter of now being true to ourselves and to our lesson, and letting the chips fall where they may. If we are sincere in our efforts, we will be backed by the entire Universe.

Today’s Positive Thought (we are all artists painting on the canvas of life)

In the book House of Happiness,Dr.Thind talks about two kinds of artists. One type has to have a person or landscape in front of them. Many of these artists are great and it takes a lot of skill to be able to put the picture on to canvas. And then he talks about artists who would meditate for weeks or months even, to be able to get a clear vision in their mind of what they are painting. And then they go to work.

We are all artists painting on the canvas of life. We can either look in the outside world and be inspired by a picture we want to paint and live our lives accordingly, adding or taking away what we may choose. And if we do this it may still take a certain clearing of the mind to paint the picture and live the way we would like. Or we can meditate and clear our mind until we can see the clear vision from the Universe in our minds of what it is we are to paint, and then live accordingly. In either case our job is to get busy and paint or sketch a masterpiece with our lives.

He came into my world somewhat unwelcomed

Like many blessings he came in disguise

Wearing camouflage pants and a motorcycle vest

How could I know that he had a heart of gold?

It took some time before I saw him

One day  I looked and he was in my corner

Even after we fell out big

There he was standing in support

As the years rolled by, I could see him much more clearly

This man who came and loved my mother

He also loved my sister, and loved me

and became a grandfather to our children

Everywhere he went they seemed to love him

People who saw beyond the camouflage pants

They saw a child, a father, a brother, a friend,

and a man who possessed a golden heart

Today’s Positive thought (Halloween is one of the most positive holidays)

Once again this year I was reminded just how positive a time Halloween is.  I took my youngest son Jordan trick or treating again this year and as always it was a wonderful experience.  It was raining the whole time but we did not care.  It was like it was part of the wonderful setting and fun.  What got me and what always gets me, is all of the good cheer everywhere we go.  From the houses we go to, to the grocery stores and restaurants where all the employees are dressed up, people are so happy to give and see the kids happy.  In some ways this is the most positive holiday to me because people are giving and contributing to the kids fun and happiness everywhere you go.  And the kids they give to and share their smiles with are children they don’t even know.  How cool is that?

Today’s Positive Thought (What if your goals and dreams have already happened, and you now just need to move into them?)

Let me tell you something that happened to me once. One day before I had my bookstore I was in my office meditating. In a dreamlike vision I saw myself owning a bookstore with people in it. I could actually see the people coming in and having conversations.

When I came out of meditation I sat there thinking about what I saw and how real it felt. Up until this point opening the store was just a dream for me especially since I had no idea where the money and resources would come from. I called my teacher Mr. Ambrister and told him about my vision. He told me that what I saw was real. He said that was my store in the future, but only if I continued to move forward with my dream.  Otherwise it would not happen and I would never meet the people who I saw in my store. This is when I had to ask the question, What if my bookstore is already in existence?

Now that I understand things better I would say if I did not continue on that track connected to my bookstore that was already in existence, I would not have had the experience of meeting those people who I had already met in the future. Instead I would move into a different future possibility that was already in existence without me owning a metaphysical bookstore.

After seeing my store within and being convinced that it was there waiting for me, I kept moving on that track. I even went to The American Booksellers Convention in Chicago with the name of my store on my name tag. I met with other bookstore owners telling them I was just about to open My Philosophy of Life Bookstore in Southfield Michigan, still not knowing how it was going to happen, where exactly it was going to be or where the money was going to come from. A few months later the money came and I opened the store. Some of the best friends I have, I met in that store. The people who helped me to obtain the money might say that was not metaphysical. That it was done with their help. But I say that seeing the place in advance feeling it was real and moving forward in that spirit helped lead to them changing their minds and making it a reality.

Today’s Positive Reminder (“Nothing just happens everything happens just”)

n life there are absolutely no coincidences.  Everything is happening exactly as it should be, precisely according to plan.  Quite often when we look around, it doesn’t appear this way.  But when we start to understand the way life works and how we’re made up, we begin to see that everything is happening exactly the way God has planned it, and that we also played a part in that plan.

Who you are, where you were born, who your mother is, who your father is, your husband, your wife, your career, every aspect of your life is happening exactly as it should be at this moment.  When it changes, that’s the way it should be at that moment.  What determines all these factors in our lives is the way we see ourselves, and the way we feel about ourselves and the world. Our consciousness actually determines our whole life situation.  At the same time this is going on with everyone else.  Their consciousness is determining their whole life situation.  So just the right people and just the right events come into our lives.  We also come into just the right people’s lives in just the right situations to give them the experiences they need.  This is all based on who we are and who they are.

Today’s Positive Question (How are you going to upgrade?)

My Youngest son Jordan, who is 7 years old, came into the room showing me a toy man.  The little figure now had fuzzy pipe cleaners wrapped around his shoulders and chest, of course added by my son.  Jordan said “this is Gargaman.  See I upgraded him.”  I said “I see, that’s pretty cool you upgraded him.” Jordan says “yea everything has to get an upgrade.”  I said “that is so true.”  And as I looked at the toy man with his orange and purple vest given to him for flight capability, I could see how having such a vest truly put him on another level, and I must say he looked pretty cool.  Afterwards all I could think about is “how am I going to upgrade my life?  What changes do I need to make for myself to be a better me in this world?

As I thought about this many answers came to mind.  I know that the upgraded Craig looks more free.  He moves more quickly on ideas and promptings that come from God and the Universe, without taking time to question or worry about the results of his steps.  I also think I could better use my time and step up my meditations in order to have the strength to be more this way.  Also I am  going to go back to using my Franklin day planner.  It’s been over a year since I have used it.  I was able to get much more accomplished when I was not trying to keep everything in my head.  These are just a couple things I see with the upgraded Craig.

What does the upgraded you look like?

What do you have to do to give better service, or better share your gifts and talents?

How are you going to be a better mom or dad, sister, brother, uncle, aunt, cousin or friend?

Are there any changes or modifications that need to be made in order for you to do this?
