Story about Dr. Thind’s Two Second Meditation (The Next 30 Days)

My teacher, Mr. Ambrister, would often speak on how his teacher, Dr. Thind, would be giving a talk in front of an auditorium of people.  After sometime if you were really paying attention you could see that he was getting just a little tired.  Then great meditation master would suddenly look off to the side for a second or two and be recharged with incredible energy and a magnificent light in his eyes totally recharged and continue his talk.

One day when Mr. Ambrister and I were having a conversation, after years of telling me  the story many times, Mr. Ambrister shared with me that when Dr. Thind looked off for that quick second during his talk, that he actually went into a quick meditation and came back out.

The story always sounded like folklore or an unattainable state, until one day he suggested I did the same thing in an upcoming talk I had to give. I did try it when doing a talk for the Theosophical Society. To my surprise it worked! Just before giving my talk I took myself to a higher state, right before walking on stage, with this quick meditation just like my teacher suggested. I also did the same thing during my talk.  Afterwards, over the years I would use this method and slip into my higher state in seconds to come back charged, especially in challenging situations when I felt like I was in over my head. The more we meditate the more we are able to do such things.

One Day You Are Going To Look Back And See That Whole Building Surounded In Light! (from The Next 30 Days)

My teacher Ambrister would sometimes talk about how one day when he stepped outside his teacher Dr. Thind’s meditation class, he looked back, and to his surprise the whole building was surounded by light. As he would tell the story I could almost see him having the experience. One day when we were talking he said to me, Craig “One day when you are at your place, you are going to look back and see that whole building surounded in light!” At the time I owned a metaphysical bookstore. It was also the place where I taught meditation classes. It surprised me that he said this to me. After all, I was just me, not Dr. Mr. Ambrister and not Dr. Thind. But at times he would say things like this, and even compare me to himself, and his teacher Dr. Thind.

One day as I was leaving the building I happened to look back as I drove off. I could not believe what I was seeing. I saw a white light around the whole building. It was an overcast day and the building was a block long. And to my surprise, there was a light around the whole building for the one block. This light was no where else to be found nearby. I drove back and forth up and down the street looking in disbelief. I rushed to Mr. Ambrister to tell him. He replied. “That is the Aura from you and the work you are doing.”

I have learned over the years to never underestimate the beauty and spiritual heights that can be achieved from meditating and doing what the Universe and God lead you to do.

My Best Friend Is The Universe

My best friend is the is the Universe.

Like my road dog, we hang all the time.

Or like my girl who I just can’t leave.

When I meet a new one, its her on my mind.

It’s like Mom and Dad, It tells me what to do.

And like my Guru who surely leads the way.

Always right there with the right answers.

She is so cool, she gives me what I need.

And what I want when I show her attention.

How can I forget a friend like this?

In new situations I look for her face.

For now I know it’s there in the background.

To teach me new lessons and lead me along.

We are so close I think we are one.

So when people ask me, Why go within?

It’s to stay in touch and keep our connection.

The Greatest Meditation Masters Are Barely Here (Today’s Poetry)

The greatest meditation masters are barely here.

Being barely here, there is no time for the dumb stuff.

Focusing on dumb stuff is the cause of great misery

Who wants to multiply what they don’t like?

I swear that those great ones are almost not here.

Being half way gone, they hear the great music.

The great music is a melody playing

that you can’t hear when your mind is running.

You know those great ones barely touch the earth.

And when they do it’s just for a second.

Who has time for cares and worries

when there’s a yoga breath above all of this?

It seems these great giants get so much done.

They allow things to happen and get out the way.

So much can happen when your mind is on Heaven.

They get their instructions and move right away!

Be Still And Win The Game!

I see people running, shouting “Hey look at me!”

While a few sit still and fly around the world.

This flight that I speak of is such a free feeling.

Why run in circles and find yourself tired.

We run and we run, we shout and we shout.

We aim to prove that we are the best.

We fight and we fight, hoping to win.

Even when we win, it may feel like we lost.

If we have not learned how to be still

we have not learned how to play the game.

When we learn to be still

all is revealed, and the game is so fun

There can be great motion in the midst of stillness.

Being still is truly a state of mind.

There is so much to do in the game of life

When we are connected we have already won.

New Life

The Universe is designed in a such a way that we are constantly being inspired, urged or pushed to new life and higher ways of being and expression. These promptings can show up in our lives in many ways. It can be in the form of dreams, ideas, situations, and challenges or problems. But the idea is always the same, to move us to the new life the higher ground and understanding. If we can see or feel the new life and make the changes, life once again becomes incredible, with wonderful new situations, and our connection feels miraculous.

When the process of the inspiring and prompting begins to occur, the question at hand is, Are we going to be open to the new even more wonderful life now, and make the needed changes while it may look far off and vague or are we going to have to be pushed more?

Peace and Blessings

Going to Heaven is not enough. You have to bring Heaven back here. (This Month’s Page From 30 Days of Metaphysics)

Going deep in meditation is not enough.  We should be in complete enjoyment all the time.  When we are not its because we have lost the vision of the Father, and the mystical consciousness.  This occurs when we go back to trying to be in a comfortable place, rather than being caught up in the adventure with all its lessons and growth at every turn.  Yes we have to go deep in meditation regularly, other wise we won’t see the Father in our world.  Once we do, we must embrace him totally in all the ways he shows up in our world.  The more we do this the more he expands our world to include Heaven both here and in the hereafter.

One of the most interesting things we find as we enter the higher worlds is that there is really only one world.  Our perception of it has just widened.  So now we see things that we never thought we would.  Life becomes incredibly beautiful.

Find Yourself A Teacher Who Can Help You Travel and Find Answers Within

Find yourself a teacher that can show you how to meditate on the cosmic vibration, (the inner light and sound) travel to the higher regions within yourself, and get the answers from within.  Once you can travel within sufficiently, have the sights of the invisible (the inner vision), and understand what you are seeing, you learn the rest from God within.

God, The Universe, is Nearer than hands and feet, closer than breathing (This month’s page from 30 Days of Metaphysics)

My teacher used to ask  “If God is nearer than hands and feet, closer than breathing, where are we going to find him?”  Think about it. If God is nearer than hands and feet, closer than breathing where does that mean God is?  Now we human beings tend to look outside ourselves for everything. Our happiness, our security, our self worth, you name it, we believe it is outside of ourselves.  “Somewhere in the outside world that’s where I’m going to find it. There’s no way I can find it within myself”. We also tend to do the same with God. We look for God outside of ourselves.   But the Kingdom of Heaven is within. If we could ever stop chasing the world, slow down, both in body and in mind, and sit still we’d be surprised at the results.

From the book 30 Days of Metaphysics and Miracles by Craig Kimbrough

As I read this month’s page from 30 Days of Metaphysics and Miracles, I was reminded that if God is nearer than hands and feet or better yet within, so is our answers, and all of our desired situations.
