In the movie Bridge of Spies, a client tells the main character that he reminds him of a man that he once knew. He said this man was prisoner who was told to get down on his knees. When the man refused, the guards beat him with a stick until the man fell to the ground. The prisoner got back up and they beat him down again. This happened several times until eventually the guards stopped beating him and just left him standing there. The other prisoners called him “standing man”
This is the kind of man the lawyer our hero and main character was, a man willing to risk it all for his cause and what he believed in, one who had the courage to stand up.
Positive Guru Application: When you sit down for meditation prayer and introspection, or as you go throughout your day, remember to ask yourself these questions. What do I believe in? What do you believe in my gut is right? What means so much to me that I am willing to do whatever it takes to make sure it is achieved?
Once you have the answer, there is no time to waste sitting around. Its time to get busy work day and night towards your goal, and stand up.
